How to purchase a ticket

1. Access Tickets - Use the Presale link from the email you will receive if you sign up or the General On Sale link
2. Choose Ticket - Select the type of ticket you want. For Accessible tickets, click ‘View Accessible Tickets’
3. Select Quantity - Choose the number of tickets.
4. Companion Card Holder Ticket - Add a Companion Card Holder ticket if needed. Companion Card Tickets must be bought with a paid ticket.
5. Payment - Complete the payment process.
6. Fill in your ticket details - All tickets require a name on the ticket, so please ensure you've filled out the requested information for each ticket. For Companion Card, enter holder's details (name, card number, expiration date). For Accessible tickets, select your disability or specify under ‘Other’.
7. Agree to Terms - Confirm the Terms and Conditions.
8. Ticket Issuance - Once you have completed all the required ticket detail information, you will receive your tickets.

Accessibility & Inclusion

How will the venue be transformed?
Our festival oasis will be transformed into an accessible venue with the inclusion of elevated platforms, pathways, dedicated sensory areas, quiet zones, a network of ramps, other facilities and amenities so Ability Fest can be enjoyed by all! 

Will there be accessible toilets?
Yes! Accessible toilets will be located throughout the site.

Will there be changing places?
Ability Fest will have a Changing Places. Its exact location will be provided closer to the event. 

Will there be Auslan interpreters?
Yes! They will be placed on each stage for the entirety of the day.

Who can I reach out to if I need help on the day?
There will be a friendly team of volunteers around all day ready to assist with anything you may need! We will also have an Info Hub where you can head for assistance. Info Hubs will be shown on the site map once revealed.

I might need a break from the music, is there anywhere I can go?
There will be sensory areas, dedicated chill spaces and an assistance dog respite area if the music ever becomes too much throughout the day. These locations can be found on BindiMaps and our site map once revealed!

Does the event provide sensory kits?
There will be sensory kits available at Ability Fest. Feel free to ask our friendly staff and volunteers for more information at the event.

Where is the viewing platform located?
There will be 2 viewing platforms available. These locations can be found on Bindi Maps and our site map once revealed!

Are there dedicated accessible drop off and pick up points?
Yes, dedicated accessible drop off & pick up points will be along Gilchrist Avenue - there’ll be no parking available along this road.

Will there be an accessible car park?
There are limited spaces available at Cornerstone Car Park, all day parking is $17. Check back here closer to the event for more information about parking at Ability Fest.

Does the venue have an audio loop installed?
Victoria Park does not have an audio loop installed.

Is there an age limit on the festival?
Ability Fest will be 16+ this year.

Please make sure to bring valid identification to show staff at the gates and may be required to provide Valid Photo ID at various times during the Event.If you are aged between 16-17 years old, you must have a valid Ticket.

I have a non-visible disability, can I still access support?
All event Staff are aware of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower and can provide support as required. Lanyards can be collected from the Box Office. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower enables people with non-visible disabilities to access the support they need. This lets people around them know that they have a non-visible disability, and that they may need a helping hand, understanding, or simply more time. 

How will Ability Fest support blind and low vision patrons?
Viewing platforms will be located very close to the stage, and are available to all at the festival.

We are also supporting patrons who are blind and have low-vision by encouraging the use of BindiMaps - a free way-finding mobile app that provides accessible navigation with easy-to-follow maps using audio and text directions at Ability Fest. BindiMaps can assist with location sharing so attendees can meet others, find their way back to a saved location and discover the fastest way to the toilets, entrances and precinct.

Will lighting be friendly for those who are sensitive to strobe/intense lighting?
We are working with each artist's production team to ensure that lighting and production elements are as friendly as possible! For any specific questions, please get in touch at accessibility@untitledgroup.com.au

Will there be food available?

Yes! There will be a number of different options available to suit all dietary requirements.

Do I need to process a name change for my ticket if I can no longer attend?

An official name change is not required for your ticket!

Do you accept companion cards?

Yes, we do! You can redeem your companion card online.

- Firstly, click on view Accessible Tickets
- Select your desired entry ticket
- If you have a valid companion card, you can then select ‘General Admission - Companion Card Holder”
- Proceed to check-out
- After purchasing tickets, please fill in the questionnaire provided.
- Fill in the Companion Card Number, Expiry Date, and Cardholder's Name
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions before proceeding.
- Once you have submitted all your information, your tickets will be emailed to you.
- Please note the companion card details you enter at the time of checkout will need to be provided to gate staff upon entry to the event

Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately we have a strict no refund policy. Head to Tixel, our authorised resale platform! 

How can I get to Ability Fest?

Victoria Park/Barrambin Sports fields is on Gilchrist Avenue, Herston, a 10-minute drive from the CBD located near the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. Herston Bus Station is located only a 8 minute, 230m downhill walk from Victoria Park with buses 66, 330, 333 and 340 stopping regularly. 

The Roma Street to Rosewood & Springfield Central Line will not be running, so rail replacement bus services will cover this rail closure.

Roma Street Station is open, swap from train to bus to journey straight to Herston.

We encourage you to download Translink Journey Planner to discover the best travel option for you! Trains, Trams & Bus Services are all 50c per journey!

All Transport in Brisbane is accessible.

We encourage you to download BindiMaps, a mobile app helping users to navigate unfamiliar spaces. Ability Fest will be on BindiMaps and will use a natural language audio system so users can describe where they are, what’s around them, and can discover the best way to get to the event.

Are there any banned items?

The following items are banned and must not be brought into Ability Fest.

- Electronic devices such as drones and lasers
- Fire (fireworks, sparklers, matches etc) 
- Glass of any kind (this includes perfume, water bottles, containers)
- Alcohol
- Flammable items eg. Aerosol products, Flares, fireworks or sparklers
- Illicit substances
- Illegal weapons and items deemed dangerous by security and/or event staff
- Professional recording equipment and cameras with detachable lenses
- Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades and bikes

Bags will be checked on arrival for these items.

Health & Wellbeing

You are welcome to bring medication for medical purposes e.g. medication you take regularly, however please bring a copy of your prescription and a photo ID to show to Security Staff at the festival gates. Any medication that needs to be refrigerated can be kept at the medical tent. 

There will be medical tents on site with professional medical staff ready to assist in a variety of different situations. If you have any trouble locating the medical facilities, don’t hesitate to ask one of our friendly staff members for help! 

Interactive Tactile Sensory Silent Disco

Patrons of all abilities can feel the beat while wearing vibro-haptic vests and straps. Whether it be from our in-house DJ’s or playlists, party goers can dance the night away with a choice of three music channels, controlled via our high quality wireless stereo headphones. The Silent Disco location will be shown on BindiMaps and our site map once revealed!
